Dr. Rouzbeh Kordestani offers a variety of breast surgery options, ranging from breast lift surgery to breast augmentation at our Texas Panhandle office. We also provide breast reduction surgery for those who have been suffering from issues such as back pain and neck strain. Patients may opt for this type of surgery for reasons such as physical discomfort, or for cosmetic reasons. We are here to discuss the process of breast reduction and talk you through all of the options our office provides. Breast reduction removes fat, skin, and other tissue from the chest area, making the size of breasts smaller. How much material is removed will be decided on an individual basis during a consultation with the doctor. There may be additional factors you’ll want to discuss, such as overall healing time, breastfeeding, and the surgical process itself. Breast Lift Procedure
A breast lift is a surgical procedure designed to address sagging skin or drooping breasts. This is a cosmetic surgery that seeks to improve the overall appearance of breasts, and it’s sometimes referred to as a mastopexy. Over time, breast ligaments can stretch, and natural factors such as gravity and pregnancy may affect the appearance of this part of the body.
Breast lifts can help improve self-esteem in women that are concerned about the way their breasts look, as well as help restore this region, resulting in a more youthful-looking appearance. It’s important to note there are some factors you may wish to discuss with the doctor prior to choosing this procedure, including how it may affect your ability to breastfeed. Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation is another one of the breast procedures we conduct at our Texas Panhandle office. This surgery enlarges the breast area, increasing its size. How large the breasts will become is determined at a meeting with the doctor prior to the procedure. At this time, you’ll also discuss the surgical process and recovery involved. Increasing breast size is a separate procedure from a breast lift and doesn’t do anything to decrease sagging tissue; it merely adds volume.
The increased breast size is accomplished either by using implants or by taking fat from another area of the body and using it in the chest area. There are many reasons women select this procedure, ranging from the desire to have a larger breast size to restoring breast size after pregnancy. This option is also something a large number of women consider after having a mastectomy.
